Heat guards using QB-style wristband

08:06 AM ET 01.23 | Credit Erik Spoelstra for being open to new ideas when it comes to cutting down turnovers. Always open to innovation, the Heat???s coach fashioned quarterback-style wristbands for his point guards to help solve the problem. When the Heat returned home from the road trip, Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole had specialized cheat sheets awaiting them for practices and shoot-arounds. Spoelstra said Chalmers and Cole wear the wristbands "so they can access the information quickly." "It looks just like a quarterback's," Chalmers said. ... Spoelstra mentioned the wristbands unprovoked but then seemed reluctant to talk about them further. "Oh, no," Spoelstra said when asked about the idea. "Now this is going to be a story?"

I guess the ballpoint pen on the back of the hand didn't work too well...

Or the coach holding up two fingers for the post play, three fingers for the 3-point prayer, or one finger for the pick and roll; I guess fingers are too hard to remember.

Note to NBA players: shoulda gone to class, shoulda gone to class...

It's all good. Now JERKS like me can't rip on Dallas anymore for never winning a title. In all sincerity, I couldn't be happier for you. The Mavs did it right. The cockiness of the Miami Heat was their undoing. I said when the unholy trinity got together that the only one in the crew with any mental strength was Wade. He couldn't do it alone and so they lost. I just hope people stop giving him credit for being a class act. After that coughing video footage we should all recognize him to be the liver lipped son of a horse c*** he is.

Do you have it out for Doc this morning lol

The problem with Miami is they are not focused or serious. Lebron and Wade play and joke around way too much.

well, it should be a lesson to all of us. MadDocLab, he attacked someone and now he's getting it back. This could happen to anyone of us....

Nah, this method will not work. The idea of relentless harrasment by repeating the same argument was working back in the elementary school yard, but with grown ups it's just silly. Stiches made his point against DML, and ... it was predictably ignored and laughed at. Blank shot.
Stiches needs to make his insults more diverse, he should harass DML more eloquently, with variety. His attacks should be more fluid, unexpected, stingy. Then it would be entertaining to watch the verbal spar, and maybe, just maybe, he would find DML's soft spot and penetrate his armor.
By repeating himself he just annoys the audience, and DML shrugs off the blunted weapon...
Soon enough someone would report Stiches and he will get banned.
... bo-o-o-ring.

A better method would be to implant electronic stimulus devices into the Heat point guards and when they make a stupid mistake, they get shocked. Spoelstra can control it from the bench.

Looks like someone has been watching Cheers.

I was thinking the same thing...and why do they need these things when all they basically do is stand around and watch Wade and LBJ? Maybe its just that phrase written in humongous block letters...

I thought this was kind of funny at the start of last week...but now it's getting old. Its starting to remind me a lot of the spam ads we get on here all the time.
