UConn's season hangs on Boatright return

08:19 AM ET 01.23 | The importance of Ryan Boatright, even if Jim Calhoun won't specifically use his name, grows as losses mount in Storrs. One person, even if not a starter, can make a big difference, especially when his presence makes for such a change of pace as Boatright. UConn's continuing inability to get the ball inside to its big men might be helped by Boatright's ability to penetrate a defense, and he would be another perimeter shooter that a defense would have to contest. But the reality is Boatright sits and waits, and the NCAA offers no explanation as its mills grind slowly, mysteriously; UConn remains silent, as its officials feel they must rather than risk antagonizing the NCAA. ... And the season hangs in the balance.

This is what happens when you continuously engage in questionable habits.

Less than 2 weeks until LOI Day. Then 6 weeks until Spring Practice

I'll second that. Jarnell Stokes is amazing. Good thing the TSSAA didn't let him play high school b-ball this season.

You guys got a good one in Stokes.

I wonder if he can go the "one and done" route even though he was still in HS last fall?
I sure hope not.

I think he can. But didn't he say already that he is there for the duration? But the money may change his mind, if you were 18 and they offered you millions..........

A kid shouldn't even have to spend one year in college if they offer him millions.......

I'm sure LeBron James disagrees, and sorely wishes he was still able to play four years for Kryzsyszkqcqyiywzyekzsiawkscisksiewski.

I think the NBA rule states at least 19 and 1 year removed from graduation from HS. If the player graduated early, he would have to know that it means he will be at least a 2 year college player. Or, go to a foreign league.

I'd love to see UConn go 0-for-Vols in EVERY sport through the end of the decade. Yes. I wish that.

Arky looked good against Meat Chicken, too. Good weekend for SEC basketball.

He cannot go until 2013, so I hear. So I believe the Vols have him for this season and next at least.

Thank you Coach Cal for dropping the ball on his recruitment to UK.

Coach Cal needs to go away. Way to Shady
