08:01 AM ET 01.23 | Oakland, moving briskly in its head coaching search, is reportedly looking to make a hire by the end of the week. [The Raiders] have already interviewed Packers assistant head coach Winston Moss, according to league sources. The four-hour interview was held in Green Bay on Jan. 14 after the Packers finished a walk-through practice for their divisional playoff game against the Giants, the sources said. Next up for the Raiders is an interview with Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice, who is scheduled to meet with Oakland officials Tuesday at the Senior Bowl. However, multiple league sources believe Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg has emerged as one of the favorites in Oakland.

I thought the favorite in Oakland was a Glock 9mm.

I think Jokeland should create a live game show wherein contestants text in the plays and some no-name on the sidelines relays them to the QB. Heck, it couldn't be any worse than what they've got going now. The longest tenured guy in Oakland is the waterboy.
Seriously, why would anyone want to coach the Raiders given there's still a Davis running the place?

Oakland has a reputation for misbehaving and a bay to party on. Sounds like a good fit for Mike Tice.

Marty Mornhinweg in my opinion is the best choice of any of these other wannabes.

All those choices blow.....sad that Cowher won't come out of the booth. What about those clowns in that new mini league, some decent coaches there? Well whomever they get they need to work on not being the kings of penalties....lol

Don't do it! Even though Al Davis is dead, the Raiders are acting insanely like he's still alive. Run, run for your life.

Tis the price of success. New England (among other teams) fans have had to watch one coach after another get pilfered by other teams for a decade now.

I don't understand why the NFL is so big on coaching re-treads. It's why Wade Phillips' name pops up every year across the league. With regard to the Riaders, Mike Tice, Marty M....I'll pass on both.
Mr. Beepo, I am a fan of both too....Raiders all my life, and Lions when Barry was playing.

Marty Mornhinweg? Come 'on. You may as well have kept Hue Jackson.
I am assuming Marty has something to do with the several years of underperformance of the Eagles, as they passed passed passed when their run game was stronger. In Oakland, the run game is stronger. If you pass pass pass you are just going with your weakness instead of your strength.
Marty Mornhinweg? Another season of wasted opportunity on deck.

While I think Morninweg is a MUCH better choice than Tice, as a long-time RAIDERS fan, I would much prefer to see a new, young up-and-comer type as coach. What the heck, if they're just going to bring in a retread, we may as well just blow the dust off of Art Shell...And whoever it is definitely needs to come from the defensive side of the ball, whether it's Moss, Flewell, whoever. Unless, of course, they can bring back CHUCKIE!!!

Nice to see a Raider from the practice squad who got cut make the key play in the Patriot "win" yestrday. Another example of how pathetic the Raiders staff is/was. No one played defense on that team, yet they cut a guy like that? Incredible. A good player in need of some coaching, and now he is playing in the SB. Good for him and bad for the Raiders.

Man... I'm not sure I want Chuckie back. He has turned into a tool.
I agree with bringing in a young guy.
How about Mike Zimmer?
