Grunfeld next out the door?

08:16 AM ET 01.25 | The turfing of Flip Saunders may leave Ted Leonsis' job only half-complete in Washington. He took the easy route in choosing to treat a symptom of Washington's sickness rather than targeting its cause. [Leonsis'] approval of the decision to make Saunders the fall guy for yet another embarrassing Wizards season (is there any other kind?) prompts an obvious question: So when does team President Ernie Grunfeld get the boot? Once Leonsis accepted that his house was in disrepair, which has been painfully obvious for weeks, replacing the architect should have been his opening act. Leonsis needed to begin with the person most responsible for the franchise's long-running ineptitude: Grunfeld.

I bet Flip actually did flips out the door when he found out he was fired.

The Capitals are sinking, the Wizards are sinking. There is one common denominator. Oh wait you can't fire Leonsis

They don't really have a team. What did they expect?

Better Stop Shooting Blanks, Bro.

I hope this is it for Flip Saunders. He is a terrible coach.

What about a stint in Miami or Boston (I know it's impossible).

He probably smiled ear to ear when they told him, thanking them for having mercy! LOL

Gut everyone. This francise is a mess with no relief in sight.

When the Wizards got rid of Jamison, Areanas, Butler, Stevenson, and Haywood the team was trashed. I could have imagined Sanders feelings at that point, he probably saw failure all around. What the Wizards have now is an exbition team for all the other teams in the league to practice against. Watching the Wizards is like watching a bunch of college players that should have stayed in college, including Wall.

He was the first of many that need to be shown the door.

Tonight's Bobcats v. Wiz "game" will probably be as exciting as the basketball scene in "The Cable Guy". Jim Carrey goes bananas running up and over Jack Black to show how much he loves the game.

I don't think there are too many coaches out there that could do more than Flip did...I don't think his firing will do anything.

Now if only the Pacers would fire Larry Bird. :-)
