09:01 AM ET 01.28 | Skyler Mornhinweg has made no official announcement, but word spread Friday through web reports that he has committed to play football at Florida instead of Penn State. If an ESPN.com report is accurate, the St. Joseph's Prep senior quarterback and the son of Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, would be expected to make a binding commitment to the Gators on Wednesday, the first day of the national signing period.

"If an ESPN.com report is accurate..." LOL
I'm sure we'll see and hear more rumors generated by ESPN as we approach NSD. They have a 10 hour National Signing Day Special on ESPNU, and they've been building the hype for months.

Penn State will recover, they have too many things going for it not to. They get over 100,000 people a game, facilities second to none plus it's a great school for an education but not as good as the University of Pittsburgh.

Your stupidity is astounding.
Penn State will recover. They just have to go through this. Most people with a brain don't blame the school itself, as an academic program. Nor do they blame the actual football team. Just right now it will take a lot of rebuilding, mainly because it's basically a whole new staff. That is why they are leaving. And they don't want to risk any NCAA sanctions as well. It's understandable, but Penn State will bounce back. The amount of support people have given is amazing.

I agree and Joe Paterno should take quite a bit of the blame, it will be Joe's Legacy ,that he screwed up Penn State and their football program.

I don't think most people blame the school or the football team, but they do blame Joe Paterno and the top brass of Penn State!!! Hell even some of the Asst coaches had to know what was going on. I do hope that Penn State will recover, but IMO it will take a great effort and be a long time for that to happen.

What does it say about an institution that refuses to acknowledge that the people who most represent the university (Pres, AD and coach for 40 years) refused to press the matter and get answers?
I have read you blindly defend this regime for months. Yes, I agree that 99% of the students and administration are not to blame. So, when you say ???the university is not to blame???, who should? Most people feel the powers that be swept this under the rug. They represent the university, and thusly, get the generic blame. Sam goes for any other school. I would be just as offended if Mack, Powers and Dodds allowed this to happen at UTx. In fact, they would lose a **** of donation money every year.
When pressed to have some control removed from this inner sanctum and balanced with others that wanted an independent party to look into this and other crimes, the results were ???get rid of these trouble makers and let the athletic program handle it themselves.??? This has been documented ad nauseum.
I have been somewhat neutral until this blind allegiance and the already twisted nature of JoePa???s legacy went overboard. Read all the accounts. I just hope you never are the parent of an abused child when almost all parties in authority ignore the accounts of dozens of people. See if those parents feel there???s nothing rotten in State College.

There's nothing worse then a liar. I'd have a lot more respect from PSU fans if they'd just admit they harbored a child molester for 25 years instead of trying to pass the hat of responsibility.

Their support is disgustingly misplaced! Penn State doesn't NEED anyone's support over this, nor should they get any. That institution DESERVES to be villified. The most powerful people at that school CREATED an environment that allowed that animal to RAPE CHILDREN!
...and you think people should SUPPORT this?!

And the people responsible ARE being villified. But to sit here and claim that they knew and did nothing shows a lack of knowing any facts. It may come out that this is true. But as of right now we don't have that knowledge. I'm tired of people saying that people who are at Penn State or the school harbored this and that. Please. You don't know that, first of all. And yes, people have given support to those who KNEW NOTHING AND ARE INNOCENT. People like me, and the many fans and the current players. So yes, we do deserve something because we are also just as embarrassed, shamed and outraged as many. But you are forgetting that there is NO PROOF that Joe knew anything and let anything go on. Nothing worse than a liar? How about people who condemn people not knowing the full story? I fully blame Joe for his part in all of this. But to say he knew, to say he's the only one? People are treating him worse than Sandusky. And where are you getting 25 years from?

You've read me blindly defend this for months? That's interesting considering I've posted very few times since maybe August.
And I'm not blind, I'm just waiting for all the facts. The university, as an academic institution is what I said, in reference to the fact that they will bounce back from this. It's already starting.
Well, parents of abused children have come out and said things, positive things, actually. And you don't know me or my background so don't go making assumptions about anything.
What, someone has to be a parent of an abused kid to be outraged? Seriously? NO ONE is saying the admins didn't sweep this under the rug. But to say "a school that harbors molesters" is ignorant. And misinformed. That right there implies EVERYONE KNEW. And that isn't the case. Yes, I've read all accounts. But there are always more sides to a story. We will see when all the facts come out.
