09:13 AM ET 01.29 | Eagles owner Jeff Lurie said earlier this month that the Eagles would welcome wide receiver DeSean Jackson back, "if the right terms develop." But league sources said Jackson's opinion of his worth continues to be night-and-day different from the Eagles'. While Jackson has said he would be willing to get franchised, the Eagles aren't likely to do that.

Let him go and pick up Michael Floyd in the draft.

Douchsean Jackson doesn't even give 100%. Hell, not even 80% on some plays. He's a cancer; cut him loose.

Mesean has a very unrealistic opinion of his own worth. Dream on...

So dumb. Why wouldn't you at least tag the guy and keep him for another year?

Hard to believe this guy spent 3 years at Cal Berkley.

January 29, 2012  09:48 AM ET

Because it would cost you $13 million to do that. Average of the top five WR. 10% of your total payroll. And then what? tag him again the following year? You can if you want.
You can only use the franchise tag on ONE player on your team.

deshean for santonio.....trade talented problem for talented problem.- he can't stay in philly and holmes can't stay in NYNY can't afford to dump holmes contract and philly can't afford to let DS walk for nothing and he ain't worth franchise $

Sounds like a deal

January 29, 2012  09:55 AM ET

And all of that $13 million is guaranteed. All of it. No matter what happens.

January 29, 2012  09:59 AM ET

Let him walk, and hope the doorknob gives him a good static zap on his way out.

Who is his agent, Rosenhaus?

Yes... he is.

Personally, I hope he slides under a gas truck and tastes his own blood.

MR Jackson. You were supposed to have a break out year in the last year of your contract. That's how you get da moooney. Because you choose to suck this year, your worth, if any, went way down. Your now in the discount basement level.
I thought your agent sent you the memo?

That explains a lot.

I doubt highly that putting DeSean in the bright lights of New York is gonna help the situation.

He's a great player - when his heads on straight... and right now it's not.

Yep, this sums it up from where I sit. Who wants to pay on a guy who plays only some of the time!?

January 29, 2012  10:50 AM ET

From the times Ive watched Mr Desean Jack-**** play he seemed half in, offer him 6.5 mil one a one year deal. If he plays the same sloppy ball trade him to St Louis for a 6 pack of bud

If Philly does'nt tag him this would'nt be an issue now would it? Then a wise guy like you will truly see just how many teams are willin to pay him pal!

Owners are tired of being burned by the likes of the Haynesworth, Holmes, C2K (debatable but after pay day he became very average last year) so DeSean is another multi-million $$ liability that owners will watch as the price plummets and then swoop in for a short term bargain with incentives (that he can't meet).
