08:07 AM ET 01.30 | Dare to dream, Chicago. If Magic center Dwight Howard has any reservations about playing for the Bulls, it has nothing to do with sharing the spotlight with Derrick Rose. In fact, the five-time All-Star is open to uniting with the reigning MVP. Approached Friday night in New Orleans after a 26-point loss to the Hornets, Howard shared his thoughts on a long-shot trade to the Bulls. "If I could play with Derrick right now and God wanted that to happen, it will happen," Howard told the Tribune. "It has nothing to do with me not wanting to play with Derrick Rose. I love him. That's my brother." Howard disputed the notion that marketing issues factored into his leaving the Bulls off his initial trade wish list.

If Anchorage Alaska had a team with a winning record I'm sure they would be in play for Howard as well.

It sounds like Dwight wants to be anywhere other than Orlando. Seeing how they have played of late makes that somewhat understandable.

What does god have to do with this?Is he really turfing this decision to god?Does he think that god has been pondering dwights basketball fate?Even lbj didn't do thisSmh

He's just trying to get these reporters off his gnuts. He's already stated he cares less about the 30 mil he'll loose by leaving. I won't be surprised if he somehow ends up on the Knicks either.

Is this God, God or David Stern God?

As a Magic fan, I am sick of Dwight "shopping himself" during the season. That said, if I'm him there is ZERO chance I even consider Orlando unless the GM and coach are sent packing NOW!

Bulls could have used Howard yesterday. Great game though. Chicago fan... but that lbj dunk over Lucas was bananas!!

Goodbye Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, draft picks, Benny the Bull, and whoever and what ever else they want to give up & hello to at least four championships!!!!

Unless the bulls trade for howard, I think they are too far over the cap to get him in the FA unless the bulls have some big contracts coming off the books... HOWARD TO THE CELTS BABY.... Rondo and Howard, the Next Stockton and Malone!!! (Hits Sarcasm button)

They can amnesty Boozer to clear space and maybe trade Noah. That should get them to where they need to be. Cletics need more than just Howard to get back into things IMO.

If Boston could sign Howard, that would be sweet.

I agree.... I think that if we can't get howard we should sign Kaman and resign Pietrus and Bass.... And if KG and Ray-ray are willing to come back for less money sign them back as well....
