Dolan leaves D'Antoni hanging

08:08 AM ET 01.30 | What Mike D'Antoni considered recently as a "little crisis" has gone from mole hill to mountain. The Knicks can't win, score or stay healthy. They've lost nine of their last 10 games and in doing so D'Antoni's job security is now a daily topic, one that no one in the organization will publicly discuss. Garden chairman James Dolan doesn't speak to the media and interim general manager Glen Grunwald is barred from doing so. In the post-Donnie Walsh era, the Knicks have reinstituted their archaic media policy, thus rendering all front office executives off limits. ... The perception, more than ever, is that there is a leadership void and the reality is just that. Dolan is, as always, the man behind the curtain.

Has anyone interviewed Isiah to get answers?

I think D'Antoni will get canned sometime in February. I can see the Knicks riding it out with an intern coach for the rest of the season, trying to sign a free agent like Dwight Howard and BOOM here come Phil Jackson out of retirement.

There's no need to panic my dear Knicks. While D'Antoni has not made the best of the talent it's unfair to put everything on him because we all know his system thrives on point guard play. The great results we had with the brief stint of Felton proves that. Also if y've watched the Knicks closely it's easy to tell the defense has improved tremendously. So if anything we should see a better future and not blow this thing up now. It will only get better. My advice is not to wait on Baron Davis as his lack of confidence only means trouble. Call the Clippers, they've got CP3, Mo Williams and CP3 with Fields, Harrelson, Shumpert, Douglas, Bibby, Walker and Jefferies to boot.

I mean Billups... nonetheless we need to start shopping for point guards... If Orlando wants to do a mega deal with Howard, Nelson and whoever... they can have STAT and some of the scrubs I mentioned earlier...

The Knicks may not make the playoffs this year by the way they are playing. I don't see them getting much better anytime soon. They need a pg, bad!

Phil Jackson is not coaching again, he has too many problems physically. Dwight Howard wants to play for a contendor team. He doesn't care about the bright lights, he does well on a well balance team.

I don't see how Chandler/Stat for Howard and another backup big doesn't work for both teams. and it doesn't make sense how Howard would have the Nets on his list of teams to trade with and not the Knicks.

Lostwill, at this point I don't think getting D'Antoni an upgrade at the point would matter much. These Knicks play like Sacramento before firing Westphal- they just don't respond. Will this team get better with a new coach? IMO, depends on WHO Dolan selects as a successor. JVG, Phil Jax, Saint Nick, Romney, Gingrich, Palin, I think I read Doug Moe once... It won't matter until Dolan decides to listen and let others contribute to the overall success of the organization.

the Knicks org is garbage. how do you have an "interim GM" at this point - Walsh wasn't allowed back as GM way back last July. hwo do you have someone named an interim GM with the trade deadline a month away? Knicks have never allowed a coach to go into his last year without a contract extension. Dantoni is clearly not in their plans for the future. what kind of organization is run like this?
