08:13 AM ET 02.01 | Deion Sanders tried to draw the old Chad Ochocinco from what would be called a shell on someone less brash. Sanders told [Ochocinco] that he was going to implore Tom Brady to get him the ball Sunday and give him a chance. "You're gonna get me in trouble," Ochocinco said, sounding genuinely worried about getting in trouble. There was nothing to gain from breaking off his pattern now. He has 15 catches all season, even fewer notable quotes -- and a chance to parlay that sacrifice into a ring. "If I had 100 catches and a thousand yards," he said, "I'd probably be home in January." The biggest benefit of being such a low-impact player on a stage like Tuesday's? ... "I can actually shut the (expletive) up," he said, straight-faced.

Big Fish is now swimming with sharks. Nice to know ye, Chad.

If he dresses, they will keep his routes simple. He has been responsible for several interceptions this year by turning the wrong way or not running his route properly.

Ochostinko will get a ring if the Pats win, whether he contributed or not. At least he learned how to keep his mouth shut in NE! Belichick can perform miracles!!!

February 1, 2012  08:21 AM ET

Why couldn't he shut the (expletive) up before? Does he seriously think his mouth helped the team?

QUOTE(#1):

Is he suiting up for the game this weekend?

Probably not since he was in street clothes for the AFC Championship game.

We've got a Plax thread and an Ocho thread. Where's the update on how TO is adjusting to life in the minors?

The guy is more businessman than football player. Used the stage as a receiver to get noticed, changed his name for attention , and got his endorsements. He will proably make more $ (what he wanted anyway) when it's all said and done with, than a much better player like Andre Johnson due to his notoriety. The Kim K of football.

If Gronkowski doesn't suit, they'll probably put Ocho out there.

Gronkowski will be playing.....

The report was that his father had just passed away, and he was attending the funeral.

I love the implication that Tom Brady would listen to anything Deion Sanders has to say, about anything in general.

No doubt. I guess even the FN interns think TO is washed up.

I'd like to see the guy make some kind of contribution on the field Sunday.

I don't think he was as hurt as they were playing up

You're probably right. NE injury reports mean less than nothing.
