08:30 AM ET 02.01 | Dana Altman may want to check out the football Ducks this season, and not just to see how things are going with 6-foot-8 Arik Armstead. Oregon's list of commitments includes a rather tall contingent of players. Two are listed at 6-foot-8, two at 6-7 and three at 6-6. They make the rest of the class look like relative shrimpos in need of the Bobby Brady Body stretching Technique. Compare that list of skyscrapers to Oregon's 2011 roster, which had four players listed at 6-7 and six at 6-6, all signed over five recruiting cycles. ... [Six-foot-eight defensive tackle Stetzon Bair] said the tall group of defensive linemen could cause some trouble for opposing quarterbacks. "We should be able to knock down a few balls," he said.

No stuff. Unless NFL is an absolute dream job, why leave the cozy confines of Eugene and Phil's wallet for Tampa?

A couple of good years, and people go a little ape. No worries for us OT, our class looks good, as does our future. The quacks run is pretty much over.

Looks like 2012 will be the year the Pac 12 finally shuts up the SEC crowd. Either USC or Oregon will win it all.
