Light flickering on UConn's season

08:33 AM ET 02.01 | In the span of a month, the outlook in Storrs has changed drastically. UConn seems to have become increasingly slow and tentative in January, failing to exert the usual defensive pressure. Point guard Shabazz Napier's multiple off-nights have been a factor as well -- outside of a 27-point blip against Cincinnati, his January shooting percentage is 26.5 percent. But before anyone throws a shovel of dirt on UConn, remember where the Huskies were heading into the postseason last season: 21-9 overall, 9-9 in conference and playing on the first night of the Big East tournament. Eleven consecutive wins later, they were the national champs. Then again, that team had Kemba Walker. This team does not.

As with all things UConn Huskies, the players are to blame. Calhoun is not responsible for anything or accountable to anyone. What a disgrace he is.
