08:35 AM ET 02.01 | Marek Zidlicky sure made up for a general unlikeliness to talk to the media during his time in Minnesota. Zidlicky was a healthy scratch for a third game in a row Tuesday night, and in a bruise to his pride, it came against his former team, the Nashville Predators. During an unsolicited interview after Tuesday's morning skate, Zidlicky said he would consider waiving his no-trade clause if he continues not to play. Zidlicky, who had a long, animated conversation with Mike Yeo on the ice in November, said he has butted heads with the coach over his high-risk, high-reward style and can't simply change at 34 years old. "I can't be quiet," said Zidlicky. ... Yeo wasn't pleased Zidlicky aired his grievances publicly.

Never been a big fan of spilling the grievances about your team/coach publicly, and I can't imagine it makes you all that appealing to other teams.

Zidlicky and Yeo? It sounds like a bad cop show on Fox.

How in the world did this guy get a contract with a no trade clause? If Minnesota gave it to him willingly, they deserve to be stuck with him.

I'm Spiny Norman and I approve of this message.

He refuses to go along with the coach's game plan so obviously the coach is wrong. That will be a great selling point to the other teams. Anyone want to buy a case of locker room cancer?

Was there ever a good cop show on Fox?

Marek Zidlicky has a no-trade clause? Did the Wild hire John Ferguson Jr. to negotiate this contract?

February 1, 2012  10:29 AM ET

Yaozids!!! Another unhappy, mediocre player! Trade him to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Everybody plays high risk hockey over there. He should fit right in.

No. Mike Milbury.

Send him to Montreal and pair him up with Kaberle.

Hey Harry, you're getting close to going on vacation aren't you? I'll give you the same advice that a friend gave me. When you get down there drink lots of Vitamin T. If you take it with a slice of Lime and some salt, all the better.

Maybe some of you yahoo's ought to take a look at Zidz play when that contract was signed. Use a little common sense here. Nothing against Zidz personally, but he just doesn't fit with the new system and he certainly isn't earning that paycheck. There is talk that he is willing to waive his NMC/Mod-NTC clause. My 'assumption' is that continually scratching him is an attempt to force his hand so we can unload him.
It would be nice to unload Zidz and pick up Suter... He does not intend to re-sign with the Preds, he's an excellent puck-moving D, has a lower price tag, and is younger than Zidz.

Here's a TD idea - come up with your all lackluster NHL roster using only current players.
