08:10 AM ET 02.03 | Chelsea defender John Terry, who was stripped of the England captaincy this morning, is angry and disillusioned by his treatment. He was told of the decision by FA chairman David Bernstein this morning by telephone and is understood to want to quit playing for England. However his advisers have told him not to make an announcement immediately.

So considering we covered abortion on yesterday's installment of fannation soccer, I have a few possible conversation topics for this glorious Friday.

1) Homosexuality - Born that way or created by a liberal society of Barca fans?
2) Slavery in America - Tragic mistake or necessary for the growth of MLS?
3) Sharia Law/Social Justice - Was it right that I just issued a Fatwa on all ManU fans?
4) Stem Cell Research - Worth playing god to fix Wayne Rooney's face?
5) Human Cloning - Is it morally right for Pootie to clone Unknown for double the pleasure?

February 3, 2012  09:18 AM ET

oh yea, Rooney can't captain the squad, he'll be suspended.

Ashley Cole has the most caps currently.... but he said he doesn't want it!

Rio has said that, if he makes the squad, he doesn't want it!

Rooney suspended, Wilshere's health doubtful, crisis of leadership.... shaping up to be a great Euro 12 for the Ingerish!

Technically what Terry is alleged to have said is not incorrect. It's a fact that Ferdinand is a F'n C. The fact that he is identified as being of a certain race, creed or colour is equally true. So saying that, what exactly is technically wrong about what Terry allegedly said? Other than it was Terry that allegedly said it?

Methinks that our society has become translucent in the texture of our skin. Alleged or not, Anton Ferdinand is no saint and I can think of a bundle of worse things that he's been called over the years. I suppose that had Terry only called him a F'n C then all would be fine, right? Pretty pathetic as an overall. The simple utterance of a colour makes it all wrong...That's nonsense, seriously it is. And I'm black!!!

In other words..... Glen Johnson? LOL

I imagine it would be Rooney. I doubt whether Gerrard will feature. At least in my mind, he does not deserve to.

I don't think I can properly stress how awesome this is. #1 has potential.

Can a team play without a captain? I think that, if they can, that would be most fitting right now.

Anyone watching the African Cup? Geographical bias of course but this seems to have as much appeal as watching a WPL game.

February 3, 2012  09:29 AM ET

Frank Lampard to captain!!

Honestly tho it will be Joe Hart. Just don't pull a Robert Green.

Just head to your local establishment that has Al Jazzera Sports....

And then try to act surprised next time you head to the airport and get extra screening.

Joe Hart is a good choice. I know that no one wants a GK Capt, but who else has been a consistent starter since the WC10 fiasco?

1) Both.
2) Ask John Terry.
3) Why Fatwa? Shouldn't you have done a Holy Crusade?
4) Yes, but not for Wayne.
5) No, but that won't stop those two, er, three.
