I hope they don't hand the microphone to another wasted has-been or wanna-be starlet to butcher the National Anthem on national /international TV again, making us look like a bunch of morons in the eyes of the world!

The National Anthem should be performed by someone who can actually sing and knows something about the honor attached to it. I'd suggest members of the Armed Forces or .... borrow Jim Cornelison from the United Center in Chicago for the occasion.

Unfortunately we'll probably get stuck with an American Idol reject that the majority of folks over the age of 13 have never heard if before.

we all knew the singer who butchered the anthem last year and it wasn't anyone from that show. it's gotten so that i can't watch the national anthem sung anymore because it's like you expect the butcher to come out.

Could really care less about all the celebs. One thing for sure though: the SB halftime show will be awful...AGAIN.

I would prefer the Marine Corps band, with no singing.

Thank God, Madonna (how many face lifts did she have?) said there would be no wardrobe malfunctions. I'm old and can't take it. Besides her body.... hey just keep your clothes on.
