08:03 AM ET 02.06 | For the first time in a week, Eli is the most popular Manning in the headlines, but the question of Peyton's next place isn't going away. Peyton Manning is completely focused on getting as healthy as he can as quickly as he can and that is all he's thinking about, said a source close to Manning who also mocked the idea the Indianapolis quarterback has a "short list" of teams he'd like to join. ... "The fact Peyton's got a condo on South Beach is a fact but the idea that he's spent any time compiling a short list of teams that he's going to want to join if he moves on from the Colts is ridiculous," the source said Sunday. "Where do people come up with stuff like that?"

I guess it's now the off-season, but I still think it's more appropriate to talk about the other Manning. You know, the one with two rings.

Try the New York Post...

I guess Peyton stayed away from the big game so he wouldn't draw attention from Eli's moment. Pretty classy if that's the case.

But where are all the New England fans at ?

Being classy is the way Archie raised his kids. Hoping Peyton takes his talents to America's Team in BIG D. JJ needs to get his brain out of his butt and recognize that Romo isn't the next Aikman or Staubach.

He's not even Danny White!

Of course, the other possibility is he didn't want to watch little brother upstage him, but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Peyton's always come across as a team player.

Nor Don Meredith...

They reported that we're going after him, yesterday...

The 'Skins are usually the first team mentioned when Peyton comes up. The Fish and Jest are close behind.

It would be nice to hear Peyton's thoughts on where he wants to go, not some reporter

February 6, 2012  08:45 AM ET

He should retire, it's not worth any future Health Issues!!!

I doubt you'll hear anything from Peyton until he's formally announced as somebody's new QB.

Also said they're still trying to move up to land the #2 pick.

Yes. More Peyton, less media.

Unfortunately, we're probably not going to hear anything from Peyton until the Colts decide what they'll do with him, so we get to put up with a few more weeks of speculating.

A much likelier scenario.

I never would have thought that Peyton was the type to hang out at South Beach.

I guess that's plan B.

Either way, I just hope the Shannies realize by now that they have to make a move.

QUOTE(#19):

Why go to the Skins, Fish or Cards, not nearly enough talent to win with those teams (I'm assuming Peyton wants to win another title). Now on the other hand, the Boys, 9ers, Jets all have the talent to win a title now and in all likelihood with Peyton, would win one or in the very least come supremely close to it (as in playin in the SB).

During the pre-game, Archie Manning was asked about the possibility of Peyton winding up with the Jets. I'd classify the smirk that he tried to keep off his face as a "heck no" response.
