05:27 PM ET 02.07 | Fabio Capello has risked a rift with stunned members of his England squad by publicly insisting John Terry should not have been stripped of the captaincy. There are fears England coach Capello has not only damaged his relationship with the Football Association, but also his players, some of whom believe he must now consider his future.

...unless he delivers a trophy!

So.. the FA stripped Terry of the captaincy? I would think that is something the manager should handle. Does the FA also name the captain?

...which will never happen.

This is pretty funny. A national weekly put out a list of primary player cliques within Bayern Munich.

The strongest one: 1) Mario Gomez, Holger Badstuber, Bastian Schweinsteiger

2) Daniel van Buyten and Franck Ribery

3) David Alaba and Diego Contento

4) Takashi Usami and Nils Petersen

5) Philipp Lahm, Toni Kroos, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Mueller

6) Luis Gustavo, Breno, Rafinha

7) Daniel Pranjic, Ivica Olic, Anatoli Timoschtschuk

8) Christian Nerlinger and Hans-Joerg Butt

9) Arjen Robben and his Ipad

10) Jerome Boateng and his Ipod

His contract with the FA allows for the FA to take action. The FA said he can name a new captain. I think the FA knows it should have slapped Terry with a ban similar to Suarez but now is taking corrective action.

Ah yes, the world renowned Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt.

When did the FA got in the business of making coaching decisions?
I still consider England the heavy favorite to win the Euros.

all joking aside, if Capello would quit d***ing around, he could have a squad that could make a decent run, if they can make it past the 1st two games w/o Rooney. Still don't think they'd win it all, but semis is vaguely feasible.

Good Morning PU-TOS!

Question, what ever happened to "PU-TO Tang"??? (Pootie)

Apparently there's a clause in Capello's contract which states that the FA can remove one player without approval of the coach.

Weird, I know.... but I guess the FA wanted a little room to operate. A little nervous giving the car keys to a foreign coach.

My question is: What reason does Capello have for staying through Euro 12? He's a lame duck coach, and what little say he has is being undermined. I don't think the football world, as a whole, will blame the lack of trophies on Capello. The Three Lions are a reality show gone bad.... two steps away from the Kardashians and Jersey Shore.

Not true. Don Fabio has no talent to work with. Engerland are the Anglo-Saxon Brenos of the world, in football and otherwise. This is made more evident by the fact that the media is kicking up a storm to get the guy sacked before the Euros. BRILLIANT plan [/sarcasm]. The Three Putty Tats are in no more a state than they deserve.

Israel could plunge the U.S. into war with Iran, according to reports in WaPo and the BBC.

the sad part is once, he publicly voiced his disagreement I had a feeling they would be calling for his head. English media is very predictable.
