08:06 AM ET 02.09 | We've already heard stories of fans tuning out the Wizards, but this is something different. When the Wizards get trounced at home, the fans at Verizon Center usually to hit the exits early or send them to the locker room to a chorus of boos. But after the Wizards' disconcerting 107-93 loss on Wednesday against the undermanned New York Knicks, most of the 17,376 fans in attendance stuck around, stood up and applauded -- Jeremy Lin and the Knicks. ... [The] Wizards were simply a distraction until the next Lin layup or high-rising bank shot, Tyson Chandler dunk or Steve Novak three-pointer. It was entertaining -- and embarrassing for the supposed hosts.

Slow down there partner... Lin needs to play against some better teams. The win in NJ was good for his confidence, but no one knows his game yet. Washington could get beat by almost any good prep school and Devin Harris doesn't exactly exude defense as part of his game. The Lakers are going to struggle with containing him too as they have PG trouble... Let's see how he plays against Minnesota and Toronto. Rubio and Bayless will be good matchups for him.. Good wins for NY tho- they need them!

Wizards are an unfortunate metaphor for the functionality of our nation's capital.

One man fast break.

Well at least they didn't chant MVP for Lin. I still find it funny that the Celtic fans rooted for Kobe in Boston. I guess even they recognize greatness. LOL

Linsanity did it again! 23 points and 10 assists. Could have been more assist but his teammates missed some gimmy! Dumbtonie found his savior!

I'm sorry, I missed his other games. Did he constantly get beat on defense almost anytime there were one-on-one match-ups? Didn't matter who he guarded - Wall, Crawford, Young - Lin was more matador than NBA defender.

I'll give him credit, Lin and Chandler have pick-and-roll chemistry, which is the main reason his assist totals are high (easy open passes to the tallest guy on the court). But, when Anthony and Amare come back and are demanding the ball, will Lin pick up his game, be a pass-first point guard and learn to defend much quicker guards in the league? That's the big question and one that needs to be answered so that the Linsanity doesn't fade.

P.S. - PLEASE do not talk gimmes. At least three of Lin's assists were passes to Novak, who was making unreal 3-pointers. Wall, on the other hand, was passing to wide open players who couldn't hit water out of a boat. To think he averages close to 7 assists a game with that team is a miracle.
