Williams threatens to derail Clippers fairy tale

08:08 AM ET 02.09 | The Clippers have set themselves up as a feel-good story coming out of this lockout season -- but for Mo Williams, and, perhaps more unfortunately, Chauncey Billups. At the very least, it's the wrong time for [Williams] to remind everyone how wrapped up he is in himself. It's time for the Clippers to take a stand as a team to overcome such a hit, but instead Williams is saying, "I just want to know where I stand with the Clippers." ... "I want to play," he says in explaining his attitude, but what he really means to say is, he wants to start. But aren't [Chis Paul] and Billups better players? "I'll let you decide," Williams says. "They are teammates of mine, so I won't say." I help him out: They are much better than you are.

QUOTE(#2):

Mo Williams is a jerk and seems to have that 'me' attitude. They need to ship him out as fast as possible. I see this guy as a player who thinks he is better than anybody. He looks very selfish and it shows in his face. Every time I see him during the shooting practices, he has that cocky and I'm up here and you're down there attitude!

Actually this is uncharacteristic of Mo, I am sure coming off the bench after years of starting is taking its tole on him.

Wow..... Your On A Roster composed of CP3, B Griffin, Caron Butler, Billups (When He Get's Back From Injury), And An Improving Deandre Jordan.... You'd be stupid if you think you're starting.... just enjoy the sixth man role or Get the Funk Out Of there...

And he'd be stupid if he left because this team has the potential to win titles with a little more chemistry...

Uncharacteristic or not.. he plays behind two of the top five PG's in the NBA. Recognize the oppurtunity to learn and get better and contribute when your number is called.

Judging from his comments, Ziggy... I don't really see him as a "chemestry" kind of a guy.

Mo is delusional. He has only one valuable quality - he is above average spot-up shooter. And he has a long list of deficiencies: he is a lazy defender, he crumbles under pressure, he is not a creator, he can't iso-play, he is undersized. He had a sweet spot to play complimentary to LeBron, but anywhere else he is just what he is in Clippers - off-the-bench 3-point scorer.
He is definitely mental right now - last night he showed it all: on a break-away run he went for the dunk (remember when he dunked on Pierce? I think he dunked 5 times total in his career) but came up short and to awoid collision with incoming 6'11" body of Andy he attempted to salvage a basked but missed. If he made it, then Clippers would be even in score and probable win... Well, stupid is as stupid does (c) "Forrest Gump"
