Altman's aim: Own the Knight, but without gimmicks

08:17 AM ET 02.09 | Oregon basketball has a pair of border battles set for its next two games. As of Tuesday afternoon, Oregon basketball coach Dana Altman had no plans to break out new warm-up shirts for his players in hopes of getting them amped up to play Washington. Earlier this season, Altman had shirts made that read, "Own the Knight," a reminder to those at Matt Knight Arena that the Ducks must defend their home court. But that plan, Altman said, didn't really work. So now it's back to square one. This weekend, as Oregon prepares to host Washington and Washington State, there will be no gimmicks or marketing ploys. The gameplan is pretty straightforward. "Must-win weekend," guard Johnathan Loyd stated matter-of-factly.
