08:06 AM ET 02.09 | The story of Jeremy Lin continues to take on its improbable wrinkles as it unfolds. New York's newest basketball sensation spends most nights on a couch in a one-bedroom apartment on the Lower East Side. The housing choice is understandable once you get to know Jeremy Lin. ... No team drafted Lin in 2010. Two teams cut him in December, before the Knicks picked him up. His contract, potentially worth nearly $800,000, was not even guaranteed until Tuesday afternoon. So for the past six weeks, Lin, 23, has been sleeping in his brother Josh's living room, waiting for clarity and career security. "He has his own couch," Josh Lin, a New York University dental student, said cheerfully.

yes he did, and the kid is playing well, but lets see how he does against the Bulls or Heat, before we annoint him our savior

Not really fair to judge him against the Bulls if he had a bad game. I think this guy is for real. He did it for 3 straight games and you can really tell that he can manage the team and really distribute the ball. He just saved your coach from getting fired.

If he keeps this up he is going to have one VERY nice couch!

LOL - Yeah he did - But it's proof again that under D'Antoni's system a decent PG will get assists up the kazoo with all the Pick and Rolls, screens he draws up. (See Duhon, Felton for proof when they played for him) Now that they are playing some semblance of defense maybe they can get a little traction on the next 2/3 of the season.

They were all very weak teams as well.

Actually fun to watch the Knicks. They shared the ball well and played hard ... and the ball moved well ... didn't stop.

It will be interesting to see if they play the same way when Amare & Melo return. (I'd guess Amare will fit well ... but I think it would change a lot with Melo)

They looked much better than Wizards (who have major issues).

great story... it's amazing that a guy that nobody wanted is doing what he's doing. it's hard not to root for the guy.

Is his brother Nigahiga ?????? from you tube that guy is funny

Serious question for Knicks fans. Your gut feeling. Is this guy for real? Or is this like John Lucas scoring 28 with 10 sists because Rose and CJ Watson are out. I'm thinking that Avg players on bad teams look a lot better than they actually are. However the Knicks are winning so it would seem that he makes the team better, but I have only seen him play one game (Boston)and it was before he started to light things up. I didnt see anything special in that Boston game.
