08:26 AM ET 02.09 | Shane Doan has known only one franchise in his career, but the 35-year-old has pondered where his future lies. The thought has at least crossed [Doan's] mind. With the Phoenix Coyotes' ownership situation still in limbo and unrestricted free agency staring him in the face, the veteran forward could be playing out his final season in the desert. "Obviously, I'd be pretty naive to not think that way," Doan said in a recent interview. ... "I have no question in my mind that if we're playing in Phoenix next season that Shane Doan will be a part of this organization," [Don Maloney] said Wednesday. "None whatsoever." At this point, no one can guarantee that will be the case.

Does Doan have a no-trade clause? He would be a decent addition to a PO team

February 9, 2012  09:12 AM ET

Gotta give him props for hanging in there......

Get out of there...in a hurry!

My thoughts exactly, it sounds from this thread, that he might welcome the move!

Maybe they could trade him to the Avs and he could hang with a certain QB. And if you haven't seen this it's hilarious. Sorry for the quality but Youtube removed the good ones.

Fallon rocks!

Since the NHL owns the Yotes, yes, you're right.

I prefer to think of it as being in purgatory (Phoenix is hot enough).

Let the poor Batard go to a contender. He has been a great team guy and deserves a shot at Lord Stanley's chalice before he hangs them up and goes back to Halkirk.
