10:28 AM ET 02.09 | Wesley Sneijder has suggested he would have joined Manchester United should Sir Alex Ferguson have made a move during the January transfer window. "There have never been any concrete contacts with Manchester United," said Sneijder. "I am happy at Inter, but we will see. I currently have no contacts with other clubs and I am living day by day. If on the last day of the transfer window an offer had arrived, maybe I would have left. The truth is that I feel at home at Inter, but I do not know where I will play next season."

Ummm, LP2 just said that, like last T&R.

He ain't going to Man U. Hell, according to him Man U never even called. So stuff it, you SAF lackeys.

Things you learn....

Turns out, Saddam wasn't found in the 'spider hole' by a routine patrol. He was captured in a Delta Force raid, and turned over to the local commander by the Delta commander. Amazing the cover story held up so well.

I'm happy providing T&R ideas. Really, I wish they would just let us throw 'em up there. It can't be that hard.

Wages. ManU doesn't want to pay his wages. That is mostly it.

I don't think ManU wants to take on a 250K euro per week salary.

Echo chamber in here. You already said it, like, before me.

Officially this is the longest we've stayed on topic this year.

After seeing how Qaddafi got done, Saddam got off easy.

Leveraged takeovers rarely work. Unless you are the only selling the stock for a fat, happy profit.

I agree with those of you on here that said Sneijder isn't really want ManU needs right now anyway. They need to address their defense.

If we wants a new challenge, he should go to Real Mad.... Oh, wait....

I don't like ManU's central midfielders--for the type of players ManU has on the wings and up front. They should have a defensive midfielder/deep-laying playmaker combination out there, and they don't have either one or the other.

they need a pirlo or xabi alonso type, not a trequarti like Sneijder

Agreed. If they get a Xabi Alonso type, they could probably go with New Guy/(Anderson or Scholes). They could also go with a more purely defensive player who knows how to pass. I'd be definitely looking at Yann M'Vila.
