damn spinny thing, double post for first and second!!

February 11, 2012  10:45 AM ET

He's an upgrade for the pathetic Cowboys secondary.

February 11, 2012  10:48 AM ET

He got his money and now he's content to be a mediocre DB. The fire is gone.

February 11, 2012  11:16 AM ET

I doubt they will but I welcome it as long as they get fair value in return.

February 11, 2012  11:21 AM ET

It boggles the mind, they will keep fat man and dump Asante

Who has the kind of cap room needed that would spend it on Samuel?
$20 million due him the next two years.
Nobody when you add in there about 600 free agents about to hit the market. He is due QB type money next year. He is going nowhere. And that is not a bad thing for the Eagles.

February 11, 2012  12:08 PM ET

I think he stays.

February 11, 2012  12:50 PM ET

Will he Stay or Will He Go? I say he stays, but who am I!

February 11, 2012  01:01 PM ET

Same story as last offseason. No one wants that cap hit.

And the cap is lower this year. Of course, the rookie pay scale will help, but you can't afford to buy over-payed players anymore.

I guess Plax won't be coming to Philly after all!

February 11, 2012  01:54 PM ET

just keep him and let DRC go

February 11, 2012  02:12 PM ET

If they trade him for value I'm happy. If they keep him I'm happy. It's a win / win.

He could. He is cheap enough. But there are ten WR in FA that the Eagles would go after before him ( assuming Jackson is not resigned or tagged).

Speaking of Plax, what do you think of this possible scenario: some team offers Manningham top dollar and the Giants lose him in FA, but they sign Plax for cheap to replace him. Could it happen?

Plax is a cancer in the locker room, it's no surprise to any Steeler or Giant fan that the Jet Locker Room Exploded, neither the Steelers or Giants offered him a contract because you can count on him not practicing with the team, I don't see the Eagles signing him either! The days of the I receiver is over, you r either a Team Player or get out!! The baggage is too heavy!!

Nope. Coughlin wants no part of him. Hines Ward?

There is nobody that will take him with the salary and cap number that he will bring to a roster, with a trade...IMO he will be released, and then become a Free Agent and start at CB for who ever signs him.

Every team will take a look at him, depending on the price.
