Weber's Illinois future in doubt?

07:51 AM ET 02.12 | While Internet message boards, Twitter and the Assembly Hall concourse after games tell a different story, Illinois coach Bruce Weber said the team's recent skid hasn't influenced the way fans have treated him. The Illini (16-8, 5-6 Big Ten), who play at No. 22 Michigan on Sunday, have only seven regular-season games and the Big Ten tournament to sway the NCAA tournament selection committee of their worth. Weber might have only as long to impress athletic director Mike Thomas. Thomas said he will not make a decision on Weber's future until the end of the season, which he noted is his protocol for all coaches.
