Will Lloyd end up with Patriots?

10:21 AM ET 02.12 | Rams free agent receiver Brandon Lloyd told the Post-Dispatch at the end of the season that a big factor in where he play next season is where Josh McDaniels ended up. Lloyd's career took off after he joined McDaniels in Denver in 2009, and the pair reunited in St. Louis following the trade. But after one ill-fated season as Rams offensive coordinator, McDaniels now has the coordinator's title in New England. The Patriots could be a desirable landing spot for Lloyd for a couple of reasons. For one, the Patriots win and win at a high level. For another, the Patriots need help at wide receiver.

THAT would be a good move for both that team and that receiver.

Make it happen, Belichik.

Yep, and that would free up Ocho to sign with the Jets. Bwahahahaha!

Would he fit the NE culture?

The good news for the
Rams is 20 of their players become free agents.

The Patriots have some nice cap room to do whatever the want in FA.

Ocho on the Jets? Damn, that would be pretty funny.

Loyd would be a nice addition, but I would love to see NE get Brady a big, really big WR that has speed and hands. It is something that has been lacking around here for...................well, forever.

Hopefully though the free agent focus will be on acquiring some nasty D-linemen to complement Big Vince. The inability to generate a pass rush in recent years has exposed every other part of the Pats defense. Get to the QB in quick fashion and see how much better your LB's and DB's look.

In terms of personality, probably better than Randy Moss or Ochocinco.

But considering they have a history of acquiring eccentric receivers, I think they'd be better off going after DeSean Jackson.

Make him room with Plax on the road. Dumb and dumber

Talented kid for sure, but he is a bit over the top on the me first scale. He also doesn't appear to be particularly bright and that is "usually" important in NE.

Lloyd isn't a bad guy, he could fit in anywhere. He also understands what McDaniel's wants done on offense. Although it's hard to wish Josh any good luck after what he did to Denver, and even harder to wish the Patriots good luck ever, this makes a lot of sense.

The Jets are ripe for another season of "Hard Knocks".

He'd actually be a step up on the Jets. Did you ever think you'd live long enough to utter the phrase "Ochocinco...the voice of reason!"??????

When you put John Blutarsky in charge of the fraternity, you end up with Animal House.

Didn't I read somewhere that Plax was going to the Pats? Or wanted to at least?

Ummm, that's about all I got. Thank god I'm not one of those who lives and dies with this three ring circus.

Mario Manningham is a free agent. Wouldn't it be ironic if the Pats signed him?
