08:05 AM ET 02.14 | Considering his current contract runs into March 2019, Roger Goodell is just getting started on making quite a living. [Goodell] signed a five-year contract extension that could bring his annual salary to around $20 million by its conclusion, according to a report by the Sports Business Daily. And that's not sitting well with Atlanta Falcons receiver Roddy White. After news of Goodell's raise broke Monday, White tweeted: "How in the [heck] can u pay a man this much money that cant run tackle or catch." ... "Roger Goodell is getting over never seen anything like it 20 million for looking over the league with tremendous help I guess the NFL is banking." Goodell earned roughly $10 million per year in his previous contract.

It irks me too.

Is the President of the U.S.'s salary still $250K a year?

If Roddy keeps running his mouth Goodell might take a little of his money, too.

Mr. White doesn't seem to have any knowledge about the infrastructure of Corporate America, does he?

February 14, 2012  08:26 AM ET

Note to Roddy - welcome to Corporate America.

I'd imagine he skipped those classes in college.

The first time Roddy drops a pass, Goodell and others should ask why the guy makes so much money. That's why you keep your nose in your own checkbook.

After effing off for most of the year, Goodell got his act together, told everyone to listen to Bob Kraft, and in the end did NOT screw up the 2011 season.

As crappy a job as that was, it's better than what the White House and Congress have combined to do.

Maybe we should let Bob Kraft be President.

If it wasn't for Goodell, Roddy White wouldn't be making the money he is now. He should be thanking him. Now go back to catching/dropping balls for your underachieving team, Roddy.

The way he levies fines, you would think he is getting a percentage...

Most if not all of it goes to NFL Charities.

That works both ways.
