Suns' Brown frustrated with lack of time

08:11 AM ET 02.14 | Shannon Brown didn't see something like this coming when he signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Suns. [Brown signed the deal] with the thought that the opportunity to play would increase his value. Instead, Brown fell out of the rotation to make room for Michael Redd just as the Suns began playing better. "It's very frustrating sitting on the bench," Brown said. "I've put my time in. I've earned my stripes. I've been through the fire. I know I can play this game. That's the only thing keeping me positive. It's not like I can't do something. I can knock down big shots. I've done that. I won't hate on nobody. I want to see the team successful. It's just tough for me to sit on the bench, day in and day out."

The Lakers would LOVE to have him on the bench, still. He's an athletic veteran, of which there are zero on the Laker bench.

His problem isn't coming off of the bench. It's that he isn't playing at all.

Thats what happens when you leave a winning situation to chase a few more dollars. It SOUNDS good at first but u know what they say about the grass on someone else's side of the fence....

he's averaging the most minutes per game that he has EVER played in his nba career.
he's shooting under 40% from the field and 78% from the line.
he doesn't rebound well and he averages more turnovers than assists.
he's lucky to be getting 21 minutes per game.

I think he thought playing for the Suns -- he'd both jack up his stats and get a lot of playing time.
Then he would be in for a big payday with his next contract.
But it doesn't appear to be going as planned.

given that a lot of people say no team has less talent 2-15 than the suns i would say that if he can't play in phoenix maybe it's cuz he can't "play this game."
