08:18 AM ET 02.14 | In the SEC, it's never too early to start looking ahead to the next crop of recruits. Robert Nkemdiche is one defensive lineman who is already turning heads, and every program in the country is hoping to catch his attention. The defensive end/defensive tackle stands 6-4, 270 pounds and is out of Grayson High School in Loganville (Ga.). His junior statistics jump out -- 78 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, 18 sacks. He also rushed for 17 touchdowns on offense. Yes, rushed for. This weekend, he visited Georgia. He already has been impressed with Alabama [Nkemdiche is believed to be planning a visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend], and other SEC schools like Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and South Carolina are hot on his trail.

Can you imagine being a 135 lb HS safety, and seeing this mammoth guy toting the rock thru a hole at you?!? Nightmare material.

He played RB too. I think he had over 1000 yards rushing this year.

Supposedly he really likes us, but who knows what goes on in the minds of 16-17 year olds? I certainly was pretty clueless about what I wanted to do when I was that age.

This is the reason many 135 lbers Wrestle in OK, they do not have to compete against the heavyweights lol

The article doesn't indicate if he is a good student or not and what were his college board scores. But he is probably going to a SEC school so none of that matters anyway.

Richt and UGA fans are going to crap a brick if the top two players in the country are from Georgia and neither go to UGA. It will be even worse if they both go to Alabama. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is already ratcheting it up. Almost daily articles about how evil Coach Saban is.
