Rangers showing interest in Nash

08:21 AM ET 02.14 | Just how much is Columbus willing to sell? Saturday night, a Rangers scout was in Minnesota for the Columbus Blue Jackets' 3-1 win over the Wild, and he sure wasn't there to watch former Ranger Erik Christensen. Last-place Columbus is a known seller approaching the Feb. 27 trade deadline and forwards Rick Nash and Jeff Carter are their two most attractive commodities. The Rangers do host Columbus on Sunday in their only meeting of the season, but Saturday's Ottawa Sun quoted a source as saying that GM Glen Sather had interest in Nash. Nash is in just the second season of an eight-year, $62.4 million contract carrying a $7.8 million annual cap hit. The Rangers only have $6.95 million left under the cap.

Columbus is gonna want a lot back for Nash...rumor has the price being Dubinsky, prospect Chris Kreider and a no.1 ....Dubinsky may not be scoring but his work ethic and team chemistry is something I would be very leery about getting rid of...IMO....

I'd rather see a small piece added than a blockbuster deal like Nash. If you go after Nash at the deadline, they you really need to bring home the chalice to justify it.

Agree with Danny above, Jackets will want alot in return and then we get into the same ole Ranger quandry

Seriously guys, a Columbus thread, or Kate Upton?

*eyes drfit upward and lock*

Do the Rangers really need Nash? They are on top of the Eastern Conference by 7 points over Boston, and they are only a point behind Detroit for the Presidents Trophy. Why change anything?

Exactly what I was thinking. Why mess with what they have going right now?

And, boys, pick up your tongues. It's getting disgusting in here.

I rerad the same piece in the News this am....might be too much, though I am a big Nash fan.

agree with the above.......and the "what if" is always in play...

Like what if.....Dubingsky fights through it and finds the back of the net again......

I'd rather just stay the course and pray for the second round ;)
