Reckoning looms for Sacramento and Seattle

08:13 AM ET 02.15 | What's happening in Sacramento is in many ways the antithesis of Linsanity. A lot of wonderful stories have been written about his unlikely, seemingly impossible, rise from an afterthought to a star, in the biggest place one can become a star. But there is business to be done on the west coast. There will be a reckoning, one way or the other, in the next three weeks, that will determine the fate of the Sacramento Kings and the city of Seattle. I hate this. People that I like are going to be hurt, one way or another: either good fans in what has been a great NBA town, Sacramento, or fans in Seattle whose team was ripped from their hearts, and now seek to do the same to someone else.

State of Cali is broke..seems like the citizens of the capital city should be concerned about mor than a losing NBA team

^^Cosign^^ let's be honest. Basketball is a business and if it's not profitable to keep the team in that given city then they need to move on.

I think I can speak for a lot of Sonics fans if I say I don't want to steal a team from another city (except Oklahoma City).
I'd rather start from scratch with an expantion team and buyout the so called shared history with those thieves in Oklahoma

Not going to happen. With a lot of the teams losing money the NBA would not approve it. Either the Kings, Hornets, Bobcats will be in SEA soon.

Oh, the humanity! Tell me again, why can't the Maloofs move their club to Las Vegas? Seems like a logical destination to me.

Just move the Clippers to Seattle. L.A. will always be a Laker town even if they can support to teams.

Go read the Laker thread and try to tell this to us again. Clips are on the rise and for real.

If Arnold had ran Cali right instead of being so worried about getting his weenie wet, the state overall and Sac specifically wouldn't be broke how. Seattle got waaaay deeper pockets than Sac, and the Maloofs didn't get rich worrying about emotions and hurt feelings. The Kings are going to get the worst jerking since the shaft they got in the 2002 Western Conference Finals.

Could care less about Basketball here. Bring in a Hockey Team or a Baseball Team. I'm just saying... Niners control California and NoBody cares about the Raiders. Yup, I said NoBody

Guess I am behind the times with still liking the Kansas City Kings (or even the KC-Omaha version). Go Phil Ford, Sam Lacey, Otis Birdsong, Ernie Grunfeld, Scott Wedman....woo woo!!!
