08:08 AM ET 02.16 | It's not polite to point fingers, though it's natural to wonder why Golden State cut loose Jeremy Lin. "We can't take the position he's a fluke because he isn't," [Larry Riley] said in a phone interview. "Jeremy Lin will have a 10-year career in this league." ... According to Riley, several in the organization wanted to keep Lin but weren't willing to miss out on a chance to get the center they needed. Riley would not pinpoint who was the biggest advocate of moving Lin. But he said by the time Golden State made the decision, everyone was on board. Riley did, however, point out the one person who was most against getting rid of Lin. "Joe (Lacob) was the most reluctant," Riley acknowledged. "He really didn't want to do it."

I'm with Kenny Smith on this subject. In regards to Jeremy Lin, going back to high school, these had to be the worst jobs of talent evaluation ever. All things considered, I do believe Lacob on this subject, considering the fact that his son and Jeremy were teammates in high school. I suppose this is also why Keith Smart (ironic huh?) is now the ex-Warrior coach. In all honesty, the Knicks almost dropped the ball as well. 'Antoni (no D), should be burning incense and paying homage to graven images of Jeremy Lin right now.

You may be the only remaining person in the world still obsessed with the Gloria story.
