I'm looking forward to reading 'The Better Angels of our Nature: Why Violence has Declined, by Steven Pinker. It may come as a surprise to many people, but we live in the least violent, most gentle time in history. I want to read what a top-level intellectual like Pinker has to say about it.

In other news, it looks like the Seattle Sounders have a player competing in the new season of the Amazing Race, which premeirs on Sunday. Andrew Weber was picked up by Seattle in the rentry draft, after being the backup goalkeeper for the Earthquakes for the past 3 seasons. He's teamed up for the race with his twin brother.

Ching back with the Dynamo... traded for a conditional draft pick next year... must be cap clearing for that Alessandro Del Piero signing.. ;-)
