11:00 AM ET 02.18 | Steve Stricker has decided to try to make it through the 2012 PGA Tour season without undergoing surgery for a herniated disk in his neck. The Madison golfer has taken off five weeks since symptoms resurfaced after he won the season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions in early January and played the next week in the Sony Open in Hawaii. At the end of that two-week stretch, the benefits from a cortisone injection he had just before Christmas were starting to wear off.

Sounds like in order for him to continue with his livelihood, surgery may be the only answer...

I wonder what the recovery timetable would be?

Hey Jonis,

Mitt Romney loves Michigan.

He loves the lakes and he loves cars.

Best of luck to Strick, one of the genuine good guys on the tour.

Why not, he was born there. Daddy was the Guvnah for a spot too.

Actually Rex, my comment was intended to be snarky.

I saw him uttering those comments in a blinding rush of insincerity.

The guy is a meat sack in hair gel.

Running for office has really turned into an exercise in personal wealth building strategies.

Wow! You're on a roll! I'm impressed. And it's not too soon. Anytime during the 25 hour a day coverage would have been OK!

Nice try. Very cute. You're baiting me. But, that's fine. To speak in the words of our former governor Jennifer Granholm: "During our darkest days, in '08, Mitt Romney stabbed us in the back." It speaks for itself. He wanted to bail out Wall Street but he was ready to let the auto industry go down the drain. Well, the bail out worked and thanks to Obama there are a half-million Americans still fruitfully employed. Us included. Native son or not, we in Michigan, don't appreciate it when someone turns his back on us. He is a low-life who has no concept of truth. Watch what happens on the 28th. And, then watch what happens in November.
