09:27 AM ET 02.19 | Yes, Matt Cain is selling his home in the Diamond Heights section of San Francisco. No, it doesn't mean he's putting his affairs in order to leave as a free agent after the season. Cain plans to live in another part of the city this year, and there remains plenty of mutual interest - as well as ongoing dialogue - in signing a long-term extension to remain with the Giants.

Giants should really be working on locking this guy up, and Bumgarner as well. Lincecum is already on the downhill, it seems, and would fetch a nice bat this summer.

the giants should focus in keeping cain in their rotation, after this season they could very well go after hamels from the phillies,,,, just saying!!

do you really think Lincecum is on the downhill slide?

Cain retires as a Giant. He is a public relations utopia.

Something about the guy scares me. His motion seems to put a lot of stress on that arm, and he has such a small body for a pitcher. Plus, the guy didn't have a great year last year...remember?

I mean, he is still one of the best in baseball, but pitchers are fragile anyway. Lince looks like he would be fine hanging out at the beach and smoking weed.

He's got the entire off-season to do that.

sure ... any pitcher is one pitch away from Tommy John, etc ... and yes, for Lincecum, he had an off year and yes he has an odd throwing motion, but it's worked for him ... and I don't see him having another bad year ... but you're right ... it could just be an off year, but it also could be the beginning of the end ... I'm just not ready to see it that way yet ...

That dude is just so small for a pitcher. His motion puts a hell of a lot of stress on his elbow and shoulder.

Actually he did have a good year last season (better than the year before when they won the WS) just at first glance it doesnt look as good because his record sucked since the Giants never scored any runs for him

Read Tom Verducci's article about Lincecum from when he was on the cover in 2008. He talks about how his mechanics are perfect, especially compared to other Marquee pitchers with mechanics that appear much more sound: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1141385/index.h tm

I love how Lincecum has won 2 cy young awards and piched 200+ip, 200K and sub 3 to low 3 ERA for the past 4 years and people still question his durability.
