11:20 AM ET 02.19 | According to CBC's The Hot Stove, Blue Jackets GM Scott Howson is seeking two prospects, a player that can make an immediate impact, and a first round draft pick for Rick Nash. That's a steep price, but it's worth noting that Columbus isn't just looking to trade their best player, they're talking about parting ways with the face of the franchise.

I saw this last night when I checked in ob the Toronto/Vancouver game. Sounds to me like Howson has drinking.......a lot.

Yeah a franchise player that only has 18 goals to his name.

And through modern technology here's his latest dream.

Looks about right Canuck. Then again that's just the asking price. The real question is how far would Howson be willing to come down?

Yep. That sounds like our franchise.

Howson is crazy, why trade Nash now when you will most likely have the first pick in the draft to compliment him? If you trade away your best player now you're not going to get equal value for him so keep him and work on fixing next years roster.

Sounds to me like that's exactly what the goal is. There is no way in hell any GM is stupid enough to cough up that kind of package for Nash.

Well, Burkie is, but he's probably out of draft picks till 2025.

Nash is still young...why not try and rebuild around him....no one is gonna give Columbus a windfall .....this is all propaganda......

It makes you think that they really want to keep him.
