Manning in the MNF booth?

08:02 AM ET 02.20 | At the very least, if Monday Night Football seeks a three-man booth, there is an opening. Jon Gruden is the benefactor of [Ron Jaworski's] demise, at least on the surface. The plan, or should we say the plan for now, is for Gruden to be the star of a two-man booth. The other seat is occupied by Mike Tirico, the play-by-play man. Yet if a certain thing happens, the third chair, once occupied by Jaworski, might not be cold for long. For if Peyton Manning decides to call it quits, not return to football for the 2012 season, ESPN has positioned itself perfectly to lure the Indy legend to Bristol. If Manning wants to do TV next season, ESPN is our odds-on favorite to get him.
