08:06 AM ET 02.20 | After taking 24 against the Phoenix Suns, Kobe Bryant had one more shot for the Lakers front office. He's tired of the Pau Gasol trade rumors that have circulated since before the season began. "I wish management would come out and either trade him or not trade him," Bryant said crisply after the Lakers' 102-90 loss Sunday. "It's just tough for a player to give his all when you don't know if you're going to be here tomorrow. I'd rather them not trade him at all, but if they're going to do something, I wish they would just ... do it." Bryant sympathized with Gasol, sprinkling in expletives while talking about the situation of the four-time All-Star. "If they're not going to do it, come out and say you're not going to do it."

Should Kobe just shut up and play?

Management hasnt really done much right since getting pauIn fairness they were screwed by stern over paul, but there should have been back up plans in place

I think that they've had some back-up plans in place and they've all fell through for one reason or another. This is purely speculation on my part, but I believe that they had a series of moves in place and it was ll thrown through a loop when the league and the owners conspired against the Paul deal. I still find it funny tha the league squashes a deal to the Lakers for CP, but busts their **** to work out a deal with the Clippers. Donald Sterling has been one of the worst owners in league history, yet they worked and worked to make sure that the deal was made, despite it being the lesser package of the two.

QUOTE(#2):

But Kobe screwed up the backup plan by talking to Howard personally and putting him in his place even before Howard was in LA... But Kobe is wrong and right at the same time. He is right about the emotions part but management has to keep it quiet to make trades happen. It doesn't happen right away!

I think this was more about sticking up for Pau than it was running down management. He's putting in a word for his teammate to try and ease the burden a bit.

#1 problem with the NBA is the players think they are the GM

Kobe would probably be a pretty good one...

That's not an NBA specific problem. That's the case in all sports and life. Fans think that they're GM's, too.

The LAL new intro song should be Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me A River" very fitting!

yep! i mean pau did help us win back to back titles so its natural for kobe to feel bad for his teammate to be mentioned in trade rumors. as for a trade, if we can get back some young talent maybe a promising PG....im all for it :)

This is just Kobe taking his frustration on the wrong person. Kobe's mad cos Vanessa took half, got lit up by Lin and lost to Phoenix. It's clear his life is going back and forth. Maybe all he needs is a Colorado massage...

The Veto was devastating to the LAL. The thing is, the Commish won't do it to 'em again, so their next deal can be as outrageous as the one that brought Gasol to Tinseltown. Look for a three- or four-way deal that puts Dwight Howard on the roster along with a couple of young athletes who are ready to defend and defer.
