08:02 AM ET 02.21 | Ben Roethlisberger and new offensive coordinator Todd Haley sure seem to be getting off on the wrong foot. "He still hasn't called yet," Roethlisberger said with a discouraged tone Monday. Roethlisberger spent about five minutes Monday at the Steelers facility and likely won't have a chance to run into Haley soon. Steelers coaches, including Haley, will be leaving Wednesday for Indianapolis, site of the NFL Combine. ... Haley was introduced as the offensive coordinator Feb. 9 and spoke highly of Roethlisberger. General manager Kevin Colbert said during a number of interviews last week that Haley has been busy in meetings and with the transition to a new city over the past two weeks.

A suggestion... as I often tell people when they say to me "you haven't called lately";

Your phone works too, doesn't it?

Somebody at the Trib-Review is confusing the Steelers with The Bachelor. You'd think poor Ben is afraid he'll get a rose or something.

Haley was a very good OC, before his ill-fated attempt as a head coach. I'm not sure I like his approach to his players, he seems a little hot for my taste, but then the Chin was a pretty emotional guy, too. Maybe that fire is what's been missing.

I think the disconnect between the suits and Tomlin's decision to hire Haley is because he's not a known quantity in the building already, which is unusual for them. But they're not going to do anything to disavow support for him in his new position. The owners and the front office, without coming out and saying it, seem to be tired of having a $100 million QB, plus the investment they're going to have to make to keep the receivers' corps intact, and yet still hosting a bottom 10 offense. I'm not sure I can argue with their way of thinking.

[Insert gratuitous comment about Ben's dating habits.]

If he has not called him, then it is by design. This has been talked out privately between the owner and GM and Haley.
The message? " There is a new sheriff in town so listen up everybody. "
Not a bad thing or way to start. don't care who you are.

Big Ben is quite shy unless he's quite drunk and you are female.
