Birdman's becoming a ghost in Denver

08:07 AM ET 02.21 | Even though he'd like to win without a superstar, George Karl's bench can only go so deep. There's not room for everybody. Bye-bye, Birdman. The tattoos of forward Chris Andersen made him a cult hero in Denver. But the rise of rookie Kenneth Faried as a powerful force in the team's playing rotation has made Andersen expendable. The Nuggets beat Minnesota 103-101 in overtime. They couldn't have won without Faried, who supplied 14 rebounds and 10 points. Andersen did nothing. He did not get off the bench. In the locker room after the game, Andersen was a ghost, quickly vanishing from view of the media. Faried stood in front of a giant TV screen, watching the replay of key moments from the victory.

Kept seeing a commercial yesterday for him being on some tattoo show. How one squeezes that into a season where you're playing 6 games in 8 nights constantly is a question i'd like to ask.

Show was probably taped 5 months ago......

There are a couple places where this guy definitely makes sense. One being Portland, he can play behind Camby and if (when) he gets injured you have someone who almost does essentially the same things sitting behind him. The Heat as well, they need someone to help protect the paint and provide some rebounding. He would be an upgrade from Joel Anthony I think. Plus he runs the floor well and can get some easy dunks in transition.
