Texas Tech success likely left up to ...

08:16 AM ET 02.21 | Football season is underway in a handful of college towns, including Lubbock, Texas. The linebacker corps could be the strongest part of the defense next fall after two true freshmen started at LB last year. Offensively, the Red Raiders look to be more consistent and better establish the running game. But with health issues at running back, quarterback Seth Doege may once again be leaned on for production. However, receiver Alex Torres suffered a torn ACL against Missouri and will be sidelined for spring drills, taking away a top offensive target. Look for Eric Ward, who caught 84 passes and earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors last season, and Darrin Moore to be Doege's top options.

Desperate if Tech "has to do"! lol

However, their inept administration has been good for some goofy drama the last several years.

They lost all of my respect when they allowed ESPN to fire Leach

Off the subject, but my family and I got to meet Luke Adams the freshman walk-on point guard that has a Cochler implant so he can hear. What a great kid.
I to lost all respect for the football program at Tech when they fired the pirate. And now we have Mr. James running for office, don't think he has a chance.

Don't count James out. Us Texans have a good and long track record of electing some real IDIOTS!

FJJ, Guido, et al........UTX basketball fall out of the NCAA last night coming up short agianst Baylor? I don't see Texas winning at sr night in Kansas, so not many more chances to make a good impression.

Barnes take any heat if Texas is NIT bound?

Don't understand why there's not more. Listened to his presser after the game, and he acts like he has no control over what the team does. Even if they make the tourney, and there is no legitimate reason why they should other than name recognition, changes should be made. Even his apologists are starting to tire of the results.

If the class signs that's committed, if he doesn't get to the sweet 16, he should be ousted.

Oh, and for JRM

FIRE RICK BARNES!!!!!!!!!!!!
