08:21 AM ET 02.21 | In the course of the next week, Colorado may slip from wait-and-see mode to sell mode. Most likely, the names mentioned will be guys who can become unrestricted free agents this summer (David Jones, Shane O'Brien, Jay McClement, Daniel Winnik and Cody McLeod), or, a defenseman or two who might interest teams ( Kyle Quincey, Ryan O'Byrne, Ryan Wilson). Then, there are the what-if scenarios involving players that once seemed untouchable. Paul Stastny is one. ... Here's another scenario people probably haven't thought much about: What about Jean-Sebastien Giguere to a team desperate for a goalie in the playoffs? Fact is, Giguere has had a tremendous season for the Avs and has championship pedigree.

Agree again Spiny. I like all dogs. I read a line somewhere, can't remember where, probably a newspaper, that said:

"No matter how rotten and no good you are, your dog loves you. But, cat's don't care." ( except I know your cat cares, Hank!).

The difference between cats and dogs:

-Scratch a dog behind the ears and he thinks, "Wow! My master is god!"

-Scratch a cat behind the ear and he thinks, "Wow! I am god!"

wow, stories 1 & 2, a complete re-hash of a few days ago. I said it then & I say it now, who (currently in the playoff race) is in desperate need of a goalie? Nobody. So getting Giguere is purely as a back-up, so theres pretty much zero trade value. Given how the Varlamov deal is working out, perhaps the Avs would be wise to offer him another season instead.
