08:10 AM ET 02.22 | The Hawks took the occasion of back-to-back national broadcast to submit a pair of clunkers. Before both games, coach Larry Drew said, in effect, if his team couldn't get motivated for such a contest there is something wrong. Judging by the results, something is wrong. ... "When I look at our team, we are a very talented team, but I [don't know] whether guys know their roles or not," [Joe Johnson] said. "We know the right thing to do. A lot of times we don't come out and do it. I just think we should all have one agenda, one goal and that is winning the basketball game. Not who scores what, who does what. I think we are too self conscious about [who is] scoring and the little things that really don't matter."

Exactly!
Also..this is what happens when you invest over a hundred milly in a guy who should be a #2 option on a good team, not a #1. Their whole team is athletic but not really skilled and that creates an issue with players not knowing their roles. The way they are currently constructed, conf semis will forever be their exit round

In Atlanta's defense they lost to Portland and Chicago two very good teams. But Atlanta lost probably their best all around player to injury. Before that I really liked Atlanta's team, They are still good enough to make the playoffs but not much else.

Yeah, this coming from a 6ft 7 player who has 6 rebounds in his last 4 games. Avg 13 a game/not playing tonite or tomorrow. What a joke from our supposedly leader.

Tis the regular season - you win some and lose some. If anything winning the big games show that we have the ability. Nonetheless our biggest problem will be getting Melo to mesh with the rest of the group. That will take time and patience but if there's no significant improvement after the all star break we need to move him.

The Hawks ownership should've kept Woodson. Drew is the coach, the team is probably worse than last season.

Jamal Crawford was a valuable cog in their rotation. Minus Horford, too-- no a surprise they look disheveled.
