he hit like .250 and he can barely play in the grass anymore...you ain't an everyday guy anymore bobby.

Maybe he'll get kidnapped and can start for the baseball team at the jungle camp where he's being held.
And the Angels can refuse to pay him since he didn't report!

He's not the player he was a few years ago and the Angels OF looks set. He only played 28 games in the field last season anyways. He would still probably be an upgrade over some bad teams corner OFers though, .353 OBP and .717 OPS are respectable and over 20 SB's.

Is it coincidence that shirtly after he leaves an organization they win ?

I'm not so certain that he's in a position of leverage.

Just a matter of time and the right deal. He is out of there.

......my crystal ball predicts.....ba traded to team x and 3 days later, rangers acquire ba from team x..... ba goes on to become mvp in texas first world series title, with monster numbers....

Agreed, he's still got talent, just not as much as he did when he was younger.

I can't wait to hear this guy whining about how he should be in the HOF when he drops out after his first year on the ballot.

yep still better than some corner OFers around MLB and a solid OBP who still steal quite a few bases considering his age.

Bobby has been a fine player, for sure. I don't even see him as a borderline HOF selection, although there are worse players than him already in there. If he's issuing this kind of ultimatum at this point in his career, I get the feeling that he's also the kind of guy who will think he should be a first ballot HOFer.

If you look at his #s and his risiduals, particularly his OBP, he may in fact be. I am not sitting here pouring over his #s, but I do recall some pretty lofty comparisons made by Borass when his contract came up in NY. while we should never look at the afgent as an arbitor of skill, he has some nice #s.

I though being allergic to the wall precluded you from enshrinment
