Kemp calls shot: 50 HRs, 50 steals

Won't happen...

50 steals is ok but 50 homers playing in the NL West is a stretch.

How about 50 triples?

Hey Matt, can you hit a homer for me?
Then another one?
Then a grand slam?
Then an inside the park home run your last time up?
Can you eat a dozen hot dogs?
Do cartwheels for me?

Kemp hits 50 hr's in the pitcher freindly parks in that division? That would be impressive.

A nice goal, but I don't see it happening.

At least he's keeping a positive attitude after Braun getting the MVP instead of him.

Don't forget he then gets to play another 18 games combined at Petco and AT&T. Thats why I always say beware signing or trading for an NL West pitcher especially in the bandboxes in the AL East.

No where in the article does Kemp say he will reach 50-50. But if anyone in the league can do it, its him. Maybe if he played in Denver, lol. Larry Walker came kinds close, the greatest Canadian to ever lace em up.

Vince claimed he could reach 200 steals after his first couple years with the Cards. He threw firecrackers at fans during his glory days with the Mets. Vince was an amazing base thief, but he didn't realize that he had to get on base somehow before he could steal.
