08:07 AM ET 02.23 | Jeremy Lin would like to keep a little "Linsanity" of his own. Lin, who has rejuvenated the New York Knicks over the last two weeks, moved to take control of the catch phrase that's encapsulated his meteoric rise, filing an application on Feb. 13 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, according to the agency's website. The filing came six days after Yenchin Chang, a 35-year-old Alhambra, California, resident with no ties to Lin, became the first to apply for a Linsanity trademark, according to the website. A second filing was made on Feb. 9 by Andrew W. Slayton of Los Altos, California, and on Feb. 14 there was another filing by Yoonsoo Stephen Kim of Duluth, Georgia.

The knicks are still working it out with melo's return..... But they looked OK last night.... Got the win, now they've got to keep on building chemistry....

I believe under the CBA he is only able to get a certain % raise. i think the max he can make next year as a third year player is about $5m per year, which is a no brainer.

QUOTE(#8):

yea, im sure the Knicks will lock him up...I have no idea what he will command...alot can be determined over the second half of the season , especially if his play falters, but I agree, the kid looks like the real deal

My other relocated NYK fans and I were discussing this very same thing last night. He indeed does look like the real deal but the playoffs have a funny way of making cowards out of men so time will truly tell. Don't wanna get caught up overpaying like we've done in the past.

Although I truly hope he works out and solves our backcourt issues for the next 10 years!
