08:00 AM ET 02.24 | While NFL teams can't talk specifically about a player, the Dolphins can do a pretty good job of describing Peyton Manning. [Joe Philbin] was asked if he had a preference for a younger quarterback. "Not necessarily," he said. "The quarterback is an important position on a football team. We've got to have a player perform with success at that position, but we don't have a mandate that the player has to be 24 years old or 33 years old or 29 years old. We're looking for a manager, a leader, an accurate passer, a decision maker, a guy who can make a play when we need it, and however that shakes out is fine by us." As he spoke, you couldn't help but notice a large picture of No. 18 looming to the left side of the interview podium.

After a deadlocked convention, the Republicans will nominate Peyton Manning as their Presidential candidate. They have unlimited Super-PAC cap space. The Colts will get Romney, Gingrich, Paul and Santorum as compensation, plus a congressman to be named later.

That Manning has a good head on his shoulders. Too bad it's not directly on his shoulders. There's that whole problem with his neck being in the way.

With tackling dummies like that they'd get their pick of defensive players.

I'm filled with visions of Favre playing the part of Bob Dole who might make another run at it.

No one sucks up to Free Agents like Miami..... Heat, Marlins, now the Dolphins.

If you have the money, just put it on the table.

They can't negotiate until next month.

So... there's that.
