08:03 AM ET 02.24 | An eventful offseason in St. Louis has taken on a new wrinkle. Multiple teams already have had preliminary discussions with St. Louis about the possibility of trading for the Rams' second overall pick, according to league sources. The Rams are willing to deal the pick for the right package, according to one source, and the chances are that St. Louis will wind up trading down. The target at the No. 2 spot is likely Heisman Trophy-winning Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. A handful of teams are expected to be in the market to draft a quarterback -- the Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks -- and any trade talks with the Rams are likely to accelerate once the free-agent quarterback market plays out.

I am not in favor of the Browns trading their two first rounders. Way too many needs to risk on a spread qb from. Now if he is somehow there at 4....

Yeah, but I think they were closer than the Browns. Free Agency is going to be a big factor as well.

The best bet for the Rams would be to trade with Cleveland (if they are after RG3). Take Cleveland's 4th and 22nd and pick up Blackmon and a lineman later. That being said I'm not sure the Redskins could make an offer as good as Cleveland... again that's only if Cleveland is sold on RG3.

You are not trading away two first rounders, just like the Giants did not in trading for Eli Manning.
You get the Rams first pick. So that cancels out the 4 pick in the first round. The 22 first round pick is what you give up and possible that 5 pick in round two or the 4 pick in round 3.
You still get a high first round pick. If you do it. And they should if they like a QB a lot at that spot.

Now's the time for Little Dan & Shanahan to make the smartest move the Skins can come up with...
But--- these two haven't really worked as a team as yet...

Exactly. Each pick in a round has a value. The value of those Cleveland picks is more than any other team can offer this year.
