Sanchez backs Braun's story

08:58 AM ET 02.25 | Ryan Braun said publicly Friday what he has been privately telling Marlins first baseman Gaby Sanchez, his friend and former University of Miami teammate, for months: that he was "wrongly accused" over a positive drug test. The outcome came as no surprise to Sanchez, who said he always felt certain that his friend did nothing wrong. Sanchez, who talks frequently with Braun, said the Milwaukee Brewers' superstar has been adamant that he did not commit any infractions. "I believed him 100 percent when he told me he didn't do it," Sanchez said shortly before Braun held a news conference in Arizona to tell his side of the story. "He would have told me [if had violated the drug policy]. He's the type of person who would have come out and said, 'Hey, I screwed up. I did wrong. I'm sorry to everybody."

Nobody, not even Braun, ever questioned the 20/1 ratio or the reading, only the handling was not according to procedure when his time came to tell his side of it in the arbitration process( not the press BS ).
The story is he beat the system. It happens. The 20/1 reading has never been questioned.

In all fairness, Braun said that he has never taken synthetic testosterone. He said he wasn't willing to blame someone for tainting the specimen but he hinted that is exactly what happened.

OK, but he had opportunity to explain it and he never did.
He used, he got caught, he got away with it. Every guy that ever got caught had previous tests that it did not show up in. Masking, science and timing.
And not every player does it. That is total BS for those who say that.

somebody screwed big time,the urine was switched, the player refused the DNA test, and the system never failed, because even for clemens the system didn't fail, tthe need to do the urine test again, or every player who has being involve in peds will go to the court!!!!

Kind of weird that Bonds never had to go through this. Barry was caught lying to a bunch of liars. I guess they didn't catch him with a positive test or else they swept it under the rug. Braun gets off on a technicality. MLB, you testing is as flawed as your Clemen's strike zone.

The obvious answer is that his lawyers are telling him what to say....he can't get in to it without implicating somebody else and face a defamation lawsuit...the rumor was he took some meds for ****, which he denied. For whatever reason, the REAL reason he tested positive isn't coming out. But I don't think he is a cheat on the Barry Bonds or McGwire level in that he took steroids. If he took meds to help him with an ailment, who cares? We ALL do in our everyday lives and this is A GAME for cryin out loud. Get off the high horses!
