09:26 AM ET 02.25 | After a night's sleep, Jay Feaster took a step back. "The crazy GM lost his mind on the basis of one bad period and the bad game against Edmonton," the Calgary Flames architect admitted Friday. After the second period of his team's 4-3 shootout loss to the Phoenix Coyotes, Feaster was on the television broadcast and lambasted his troops for what he felt to be a sub-par effort coming on the heels of a 6-1 throttling at the hands of the Edmonton Oilers two nights earlier. Feaster said another ugly performances, Saturday's clash with the Philadelphia Flyers, would result in a busy trade-deadline day on Monday, with veterans shown the door. Feaster pulled back somewhat from that proclamation.

So what are the odds that at least five GMs have contacted Tambellini/Lowe and told them to meet him in a barn for a good ol' fashun throwdown?

FIVE MILLION PER SEASON for Ales effing Hemsky? For a guy who's scored over 20 goals twice in his 9 years in the league?

Might be a bit steep but remember Danny not everybody wants to go to Edmonton like they do To***to.

And what's with Burkie not re-signing Grabo?

And Danny if you get some "I'm effing fed up with Leafs do you want my tickets?" don't forget to make a new sign.

Burke pushed his stupid ass into a corner. How can Grabo NOT ask for $5mil when he's paying guys like Connolly $4.5? I want him back, but not for that much.

"Flames GM retreats from trade threats"

A better headline would've been:

Isn't it obvious Danny?

Grabo needs to get a concussion then Burkie will be all over signing him.

Well, he just doesn't want to mess with the team's chemistry right now. A trade or two can be very disruptive right now. Who knows? Might even be enough to propel them into the playoffs, you know. You don't want that to happen now, do you? ;-)

I feel your pain, HC. I'd offer to help by at least taking Curtis Glencross off your hands. I know it's not enough but ..... it's a place to start. We could always move up to Jarome Iginla and/or Miikka Kiprusoff if you like. :-)

Sorry, HC! I see Feastbeast is having an effect on you too. I'd given me a game misconduct at the least.
