Ventura to stick with Dunn

07:50 AM ET 02.26 | Adam Dunn arrived in camp Saturday with a clean slate and plenty of patience from new manager Robin Ventura in the wake of Dunn's horrific 2011 season. "It's part of playing the game, and that makes it difficult," Ventura said of Dunn's .159 batting average and franchise-record 177 strikeouts. "But he's had success in the past, and that's what I'm counting on. I've seen him play. I've seen him do well. And I want him to come in and be prepared to do that. He has a clean slate." Ventura said he would stick with Dunn, no matter what.

Dunn was beyond terrible last summer. The guy's career may be over.
The Sox have to give him a shot to play, considering they're on the hook for another $48 million or so.
